Motivational Times are designed to be like a ladder. Each motivational time you achieve is like taking another step up the ladder.

  • Once you achieve a Patch time, aim for a Star.

  • Once you achieve a Star Time, aim for County.

  • Once you achieve a County Time... well... go for a Team Record!

INCENTIVE AWARDS

Incentive Awards are given to swimmers achieving a specified Motivational Time.

Red Star Award: The Red Star signifies a time that is difficult to achieve. A swimmer may earn up to five stars, one for each stroke. Arrange the stars around the team logo on the back of the sweatshirt.

County Patch Award: The County Patch award is for those who qualify for the Contra Costa County Championship Meet. A rocker patch will be given for each stroke the swimmer qualifies for the County Meet.

Records Award: A swimmer is awarded a Team Record Patch when a swimmer first breaks any team record (individual stroke or relay). Wear this patch on the right shoulder of the sweatshirt. Additional Gold Stars are awarded every time a swimmer breaks any team record. A swimmer may earn several Gold Stars. Wear the star below the team record patch.
